What these labels are not

• // Labels describe sourcing, not likelihood. "Unresolved" means the releasing agency itself did not identify the object — it is not a claim about origin.
• // "Official analysis on record" means an assessment exists, not that the assessment is correct or complete.
• // Absence of a label is not suspicious. Most records are simple archival files with no unresolved question attached to them.
• // Editorial labels are added only after this site has published a source-checked analysis of that specific record — see the linked article on each labeled record page.
